Special magnetic grab pavement crane

Special magnetic grab bridge cranes are designed for simultaneous or separate transportation of bulk or lumpy bulk materials (sand, clay, gravel, cement, ore, coal), as well as ferromagnetic cargo such as scrap metal, rolled metal, cast iron, scrap. Due to their versatility, magnetic grab cranes are widely used for work in charge yards, are in demand when working in open areas, but they can also be used in the harsh temperature conditions of foundries.

At the same time, electromagnets are used to work with ferromagnetic materials, and rope or mounted electromechanical or electro-hydraulic grabs of various shapes are used to reload bulk and lumpy cargo, including metal shavings.

The magnetic grab crane can be equipped with a single-rope, two-rope or four-rope grab, as well as multi-jaw grabs for handling difficult material, such as lump ore. Depending on the purpose, the magnetic grab crane is equipped with round electromagnets for gripping scrap metal and scrap or rectangular ones for transporting long products, slabs or rails.

The drive grab and the electromagnet are hung directly on the hook hangers, and the attached load handling equipment is powered by the drive cable reels installed on the bogie frame. Magnetic grab cranes with dismantled electromagnets or grabs can work with piece loads in hook mode.

Depending on the purpose, magnetic grab cranes are performed with one trolley equipped with a magnetic and grab winch or with two trolleys: magnetic and grab. In this case, the arrangement of mechanisms on one bogie can be along or across the crane span, and two-carriage magnetic grab cranes can have a two-girder or three-girder design with parallel movement of the bogies. The trolley has two lifting mechanisms, each of which is controlled by its own frequency converter. Due to this, independent, simultaneous and synchronous operation of both lifts is possible.
