Bridge crane metallurgical foundry

Foundry cranes are designed for servicing converter and electric steel-making shops of metallurgical enterprises and are designed for heavy and very heavy duty, which includes high static, dynamic and shock loads associated with production technology.

Casting overhead cranes are the main lifting and handling equipment used in metallurgical enterprises for the transportation, pouring and casting of liquid metal. They are mainly used for pouring molten iron into converters or into the charging bay of an electric furnace, as well as for transporting a ladle with molten steel to a receiving device or for transporting molten steel to a ladle furnace for further metal refining.

Foundry cranes are designed for servicing converter and electric steel-making shops of metallurgical enterprises and are designed for heavy and very heavy duty, which includes high static, dynamic and shock loads associated with production technology.

Casting metallurgical cranes are subdivided into transport, filling and pouring cranes.

The transport crane is designed to transfer a ladle with molten metal from a steel truck to a rotary stand of a continuous casting machine or a ladle furnace. The pouring crane serves the furnace section of the shop and pours ladles with molten iron into converters or electric arc furnaces. For pouring converter steel into molds or molds, a pouring valve is used.

Casting metallurgical cranes, as a rule, have several lifting mechanisms: the main one, designed to move the ladle with molten metal; the first auxiliary (and, if necessary, the second and third) lifting mechanism, which tilts the bucket when pouring, as well as other lifting mechanisms designed to perform maintenance work on equipment in the span.

The main lift is usually located on a separate main trolley. On a separate auxiliary trolley there are auxiliary lifting mechanisms, as a rule, several mechanisms. Other lifting mechanisms required by the customer can be located on the same and / or additional trolleys and / or be mobile electric hoists installed on separate monorails on the crane bridge.

Both the main and the first auxiliary hoist can be placed on one trolley. In this case, the first auxiliary lifting mechanism is installed on a separate frame with the possibility of controlled movement along the trolley frame to bring the hook to the bucket and track the movement of the hook when pouring or tilting the bucket.

Depending on the number of bogies and technological operating conditions, casting bridge cranes can have two, three or four span beams, which are connected to a single frame-bridge using end beams. The resulting frame is based on the crane movement mechanism, which is, as a rule, a balancing multi-wheel (8-24 wheels) and multi-drive (4-8 drives) system.

Based on the general crane layout, the crane line of casting cranes can be subdivided into the following groups:

1) double-girder casting cranes with one trolley, on which the main hoist mechanism is located. These cranes are only intended for transporting loads and carrying ladles with liquid metal without tilting them. The lifting device can be a hook suspension or a double hook traverse. The lifting capacity of these cranes is in demand up to 150 tons. The required lifting capacity and other parameters of casting cranes of this arrangement are indicated when filling out the questionnaire.

2) double-girder casting cranes with one trolley, on which the main hoist mechanism and one auxiliary hoist mechanism are located, which is installed on a separate frame and has the ability to control movement along the bogie frame. Foundry cranes of this group are designed for the transportation of goods, the transfer of ladles with liquid metal and their tilting. The lifting device of the main lift can be a hook suspension or a double-hook traverse for the bucket. The auxiliary hoist has a hook suspension. The lifting capacity of the main hoist of these cranes is in demand up to 300 tons. When it is technologically necessary to turn the bucket, a rotary trolley is used. The required lifting capacity and other parameters of casting cranes of this arrangement are indicated when filling out the questionnaire.

When assembling the crane assemblies, we take into account the technological specifics of the customer's production, as well as the individual requirements reflected in the terms of reference for the crane. In the production of an overhead casting crane, we use components from leading manufacturers and trusted suppliers.
